Wastewater Operator

North Kent Sewer Authority (NKSA) is accepting applications for the position of Operator at the PARCC-Side CWP located at 4775 Coit Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

NKSA Operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the membrane biological reactor clean water plant, lift stations and sanitary sewer collection system. PARCC-Side CWP provides wastewater service to the communities of Plainfield, Alpine, Cannon, Courtland Townships and the City of Rockford.

Experience with the operation of mechanical and electrical wastewater equipment is required. Computer skills are necessary for the plant operation using SCADA process control. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, chemical feed equipment and confined space work environments are preferred. Ability to respond to plant emergency situations and troubleshoot problems as well as ability to be on-call for a week at a time is required.

Operators must have and maintain a valid State of Michigan driver's license.

Preferred candidates would hold a State of Michigan Class "D" or higher wastewater certificate.

Background check, physical and drug screen required.
